INEI calls university graduates to apply to the extension program “Data Science”

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) announced the launching of the University Extension Programs “Data Science” that for the first time will be carried out at national level and in person, allowing university graduates of different regions of the country could access to a specialized training and of high quality.

This training represents a unique opportunity for graduates of Statistics, Economy, Data Science, Systems, Operations Research, Geography and Accounting carriers, interested in the data science and artificial intelligence.

The participants will develop key skills in the management of state-of-the-art technological tools such as Python, R and SQL, as well as it will deepen in advanced technologies of statistical analysis applying machine learning, deep learning among other tools of the data science and artificial intelligence.

The program is free and with teachers of the highest level at national and international level, combining the theory with practice in a dynamic environment of innovation. At the end, they will have the opportunity to apply their knowledges in real projects within the INEI, contributing to the strengthening of the national statistical production.

Among the main benefits, the participants will receive a financial grant such as professional practices during the development of the Program. In addition, those that passed successfully will have the opportunity to provide its services in the INEI, driven therefore its professional development in the field of the data science.

The INEI reaffirms its commitment with the education of future professionals in data science, strengthening its skills in the information analysis and the use of innovative technologies. This program just not represents an opportunity of learning, but also a bridge towards the professional development in a field in constant growth.
