Sector services provided to companies increased 4.24 % in January of 2025

During the first month of 2025, the sector services provided to companies increased 4.24 % compared to the same month of 2024, due to the good performance of its four components, this was informed by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).


Professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 2.95 %
During January of 2025, the professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 2.95 % compared to the same month of the last year, influenced by the dynamism observed in architecture and engineering and related activities of technical advice, due to the greater awarding of new projects of engineering, bids won, preparation of studies, architectural design, consultancies and supervision of works.
In this line, essays and technical analysis grew by the greater quantity of samples received and processed at national level, physical and chemical testing of minerals, metallurgical test and certification of products. In addition, the management consultancy expanded by customer loyalty programs, strategy of customized digital platform, business consulting, market analysis, company mergers and acquisitions, advice on the financing and audits. On the other hand, the judicial activities outstood by the initiation of new cases, progress of legal proceedings, notary procedures, legal advice and administrative procedures in the public and private entities. Likewise, accounting activities by accounting services, tax and labor services showed a good performance.


Activities of administrative and support services increased by 4.72%
During the first month of 2025, the activities of administrative and support services increased by 4.72 % compared to the month of January of 2024, due to the greater performance of the security and research activities by the renovation of surveillance posts, value transfer, patrolling services, security of events and public shows and contracts with the public sector.
The rent and operational leasing activities of other types of machinery expanded by the recovery of projects in execution and work fronts, mainly in the mining and construction sector, as well as the rental of agricultural equipment. In addition, the greater rent of trucks, dumper trucks and light-duty vehicles for transportation of personnel, labors and projects. The activities of telephone exchanges increased due to the campaigns to capture customers, create loyalty, mainly in the health and financial sector. The same trend registered the activities of employment agencies due to the increase in the recruitment service and selection of specialized personnel.
Travel agencies and tour operators’ activities increased by 18.25 %
The activities of travel agencies and tour operators increased by 18.25 % compared to the same month of the year 2024, due to the greater activity of travel agencies, due to the variety of offers in domestic and international flights, tour packages, cruise travels, additional services and tailored tours, by vacations season and the beginning of summer with the arrival of foreign and domestic tourists for the festivities and the visit summer resort.
Tour operators boosted by the start of festivities and celebration of carnivals within the country, as well as the visits to the main destinations such as Historical Sanctuary of Macchu Pichu, Explanada de Saqsaywaman, Pisaq Archaeological Park, National Park of Manu, Tambopata National Reserve, Islas Ballestas, Lines of Nazca, and adventure tours in the Amazon forest and visits to beaches of the north.


Advertising and market research increased by 4.74 %
During the month of January of 2025, advertising and market research grew 4.74% compared to the same month of the last year, mainly by the branch of advertising, due to the increase in the investment of summer campaigns, back to school with new designs and digital animation for online advertising in digital platforms, social networks and marketing of influencers, which encouraged the loyalty and consumption of customers.
In addition, it contributed the development of marketing strategies through the BTL (Below the Line) advertising and mass advertising ATL (Above the Line) advertising. Likewise, the marketing research and conducting public opinion polls grew by local and regional studies, services of television audience measurement, monitoring of advertising investment, analysis of consumer profile, studies of competition and benchmarking, and public opinion polls in politic, social and economic subjects.
