It was installed the Multisectoral Commission for the 2025 National Censuses

The Chief of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Dr. Gaspar Morán Flores, spearheaded the installation session of the Multisectoral Commission for 2025 National Censuses with the presence of all the members, Senior Management and officials of the institution.
The creation of the Multisectoral Commission was officialized through Supreme Resolution N° 042-2025-PCM published in the Official Journal El Peruano, is in charge of coordinate actions and propose measures that contribute with the development of the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VIII of Housing and IV of Indigenous Communities.

It is important to point out that the Multisectoral Commission is of temporary nature and among its functions were the preparation of technical reports and to propose recommendations that allow to improve the census process.

This work group review and approve the census form of population and housing that will be use in the Experimental Census and the one that will apply in the 2025 National Census. In addition, it validates the organization, operational strategy and rules; as well as methodological documents, security plan and postcensal survey, among others.
The Multisectoral Commission will establish mechanism of coordination and multisectoral support at regional, provincial and district level, and will be responsible for issuing the final report about the development and result of 2025 National Censuses.

During the installation session Dr. Gaspar Morán shared the commission the guidelines of the 2025 National Censuses and provided details of the experimental census that will be executed from March 26 to April 6 of the current year.

Conformation of the Multisectoral Commission for 2025 National Census
The Multisectoral Commission of the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VIII of Housing and IV Indigenous Communities, is chaired by the Chief of the INEI, Dr. Gaspar Morán Flores and the Technical Secretariat is in charge of the National Direction of Censuses and Surveys of the INEI, the same that will offer technical and administrative support to the commission for the fulfillment of its functions.
The Multisectoral Commission has among its members the representatives of the entities of the public sector, the Interinstitutional Technical Committee about Statistics of Ethnicity and the Association of Municipalities of Peru. In addition, a representative of the National Center of Strategic Planning, the National Superintendency of University Superior Education and the Association of Municipalities of Peru.

Content of 2025 Census Form
One of the main tasks of the Multisectoral Commission is the approval of the 2025 census form. The document has five sections with 68 questions. The subjects are referred to the census location, occupation condition of the housing and number of households; characteristics and basic services of the housing; characteristics of the household; persons that are part of the household and characteristics of the population.
