INEI performs an initial test on zoning and development time of the form that will be apply in the next 2025 National Censuses

From November 25 to 30 of 2024, and within the framework of preparatory activities with the aim of the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VII of Housing and IV of Indigenous Communities, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) has been conducting a Pilot Test to check the formation of the urban and rural working areas that will cover the field staff during the Census.

Likewise, times that take the development of the of the Census Form and the functionality of electronic devices (tablets) that are used for fieldwork. In addition, documents are being checking, such as, maps, sketches, listing of dwellings, and directories that they are duly updated.

The Pilot Test is carried out in the districts of San Miguel, in Lima Metropolitan area; Oyón of the Province of Oyón; and Matucana of the province of Huarochirí, with the knowledge of the municipality and police authorities, which had been communicated through official letter about the performance of the mentioned activity and this way guarantee the security of the INEI personnel that displace in the selected localities.

It is important to mention that in the districts of San Miguel, Matucana and Oyón, the INEI concluded with the Cartographic Updating of the Directory of Homes and Establishments that had been executing at national level.

The INEI personnel that is being in charge to execute the pilot test had been trained and could be identify by its clothing (vest and photo check). In addition, the citizen could enter to INEI website, www.gob.pe/inei/, to identify its identity. The application will be run in houses distributed in the districts of San Miguel, Oyón and Matucana.

The INEI calls the attention of the population of the districts selected in order they can receive the field personnel and this way they are part of the activities that will contribute to the success of the next 2025 National Censuses.
