INEI received technical assistance in communications with a view to 2025 National Censuses

In order to promote the sense of civism and positive attitude between the population with a view to carrying out the 2025 National Censuses and this way count on their support, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) provided technical assistance to the Dissemination Technical Office (Communication) (INEI), through a mission comprising by representatives of the mentioned area of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) of Argentina and the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) of Panama.

The technical support received served also, to strength the capability of the INEI in matter of communications to inform the population about the methodological change in a census process, to achieve its internalization and active participation in all the processes of the mentioned activity.

During the meetings carried out in October 29, 30 and 31 of the current year, there were presented the experiences of both countries with the related to the communications strategies, particularly in the change of modality of Census de Facto to Census of Jure and digital census operation among other relevant aspects linked to the actions of dissemination for the development of the censuses.

On the other hand, the equipment of communications of the INEI exposed about the actions performed in Press, Advertising, Public Relations and Social Media, during the execution of the 2017 National Censuses, the planned activities for the next 2025 censuses and received the recommendations in each area to be applied during the 2025 campaign.
