The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) of Peru and the Latin American & Caribbean Demographic Centre (CELADE) – Population Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) present the study Peru: Internal Migration and mobility to study and work in five metropolitan areas, 2007 and 2017. The document is framed in a solid background of technical collaboration between the two institutions. Since 2021, one of the objectives of the technical assistance of the CELADE - Population Division of the ECLAC had been to strength the INEI capabilities in matters of measurement and demographic analysis of internal migration and since that, the production of studies that update the vision and the diagnosis of the mentioned migration in Peru. Within that trademark, two documents had been published: Peru: Internal Migrations and socio-demographic dynamic of the departments, provinces and districts in the two first decades of XXI century and Peru: Internal Migration and everyday mobility to work and study between cities, 2007 and 2017.
