Impact of Covid-19 on poverty and monetary vulnerability

The current study is aim to analyze this problem, with emphasis on the short-term effects of the pandemic on monetary vulnerability and poverty, this is really important since according to BCRP (2021) estimations, 2020 monetary poverty reached its peak during the second quarter of the first year of pandemic with a poverty rate close to 45% at national level. So, this study estimates the impacts of the beginning of the pandemic waves at district level within the period of the two first national waves of COVID-19 high mortality on living conditions of the population, it means, the well-being of Peruvian households during March 2020 – June 2021 evaluated through the poverty and vulnerability indicators.
