Is an statistical activity aimed to small, medium and big agricultural producers, that selected agricultural units lead in segments within the Master Sampling Framework of areas at national level, in the modality of direct interview and in the same agricultural unit, which must meet the following characteristics:

a) “Agricultural Producers”, comprises the agricultural units with agricultural surface and the producers that lead them, it means those that they are in charge of technical and economic management of an agricultural unit.

b) “Agricultural companies”, comprises the agricultural units of the country that are agricultural companies. Livestock enterprises (poultry farms, pig farms, guinea pig farms, dairy farms, fattening centers of beef cattle) and; by exception, the natural persons with breeding and have natural persons with breeding and cultivation of the specialized management.

The agricultural units that are peasant and native communities do not are part of the study.

Objectives

o To generate information for the construction of indicators of agricultural sector and evaluation within the framework of the Budget by Results, that allow to measure in a continuous way the evolution of the mentioned indicators and contribute to the design and orientation of public policies for the improvement of living conditions of the population specially of the small, medium agricultural producers.

o To dispose of statistical information that allows to characterize the small, medium and large agricultural units of the country.
