During March of 2022, the national economy reported a slight increase of 0.22%, after reported a decrease during the two first months of the current year, determined by the favorable behavior of the Mining and Hydrocarbons, Commerce, Electricity, Transportation, Restaurants and Fishing sectors, mainly; attenuated by the negative result of the Construction, Telecommunications, Financial, Agricultural and Manufacturing sectors. It should be noted that the development of the productive activity in the regions was adversely affected by the presence of Cyclone Yaku, especially at the north of the country which caused floods, huaicos and overflows, affecting the transit by land; as well as the projects of construction sector, among others.
