From January 2022 onwards, consumer price index had been calculated with the new structure of consumption based on the results of National Survey of Family Budgets (ENAPREF 2019 - 2020). These indicators are presented with the new basis of comparison December 2021 = 100. In March 2023, Consumer Price Index at national level increased by 1.19% accumulated during the first quarter of the year an increase of 2.10% while the Consumer Price Index of Lima Metropolitan area, in this month increased in 1.25%, registering in the January –March period an accumulated variation of 1.78%. The annual rate, corresponding to the last twelve months, showed a variation of 8.67%, for the National indicator and of 8.40% for Lima Metropolitan area.
