In January 2023, the national economy presented a decrease of 1.12%, after being registered twenty-two months of continuous growth, influenced by the reduction of the following sectors Construction, Telecommunications and other information services, Mining and Hydrocarbons, Financial and Insurance and Transportation and Storage. Attenuating this result, the increase mainly of the following sectors Accommodation and Restaurants, Fishing, Commerce, Manufacturing and Agricultural sectors. It should be noted that the country production activity was aggrieved by the social conflicts that caused highway blockade in several regions, affecting the investment in different projects and exports of traditional products.
