Behavior of the Peruvian Economy in the Fourth Quarter of 2022

In the fourth quarter of the year 2022, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices of 2007 grew 1.7%, showing the slowdown in the economy comparing with the three first quarters of the year. The GDP growth is explained mainly due to the good performance of the domestic demand (2.1%), explained by the consumption of the families that increased in 2.3%, as well as the increase of gross fixed investment that grew 2.6%, nevertheless the contraction of private investment was -1.8%.
