Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics informs that the national production in the month of December 2022 registered an increase of 0.86%, as a result of mainly of the increase in the sectors: Mining and Hydrocarbons, Construction, Commerce, Accommodation and Restaurants, Transportation and Storage and Other services. Nevertheless, the following sectors: Manufacturing, Financial and Insurance, Telecommunications, Agricultural and Fishing showed contraction. This result has as comparison base December 2021, month in which the progressive resumption of the economic activities initiated in May 2020 continued, within the framework of the Extension of State of National Emergency due to the Covid-19 presence in the country.
