Description

Is a continuous statistical activity, that allows providing monthly statistical information of labor market monitoring through unemployment and employment indicators and other referents to the availability and use of human resources at national level and main cities.

Permanent Survey of National Employment – EPEN 2024, started operation field in March 29 of 2021; each month approximately 11,000 households selected are visited randomly selected. The workload mandated to the interviewer in urban area and the rest of urban fabric is 4 households and in rural area is 8 households; in each household information is collected interviewing directly from the usual residents aged 14 years old or older.

Objectives

Provide in short term indicators of the labor market dynamic and conjunctural information at national level and in the 27 main cities.
Obtaining continuous statistics of employment, unemployment and income population .
Serve as a source of information for public policy-maker for decision-making .
To allow the comparability with similar researches regarding the variables researched.

Method of data collection

The collection of information through DIRECT INTERVIEWS, performed by staff properly trained for that end; who visit the selected households to finish the questionnaires of the survey in mobile device (digital pad).
