The National Registry of Municipalities is created through the Law N° 27563 in charge of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics, in order to integrate statistical information of Provincial, District Municipalities and Populated Centers.

Objectives
To have statistical information of Provincial, District Municipalities and Populated Centers, in order to generate municipality indicators that support the regional and local management for the planning and for the properly decision-making.
