First National Census of Conformity Assessment Bodies 2019

Description
Statistical research aimed at compiling the information that allows identifying the service offering of the Conformity Assessment Bodies concentrated in the regions of the country, in order to promote the growth of the Quality Infrastructure. The census will have statistical information from the testing laboratories, calibration inspection bodies and certification at national level, on the service offered concentrated in the regions of the country. To do this, it is necessary to identify and characterize the Conformity Assessment Bodies existing in the country, whether or not they are accredited. In addition, statistical information will be reported of the Conformity Assessment Bodies (OEC), identifying characteristics such as their size, installed capacity, the level of academic education or specialization of the staff, the fields or magnitudes in which the service is provided, among others. This will allow to provide information on the limitations that the OEC for accrediting and building baseline indicators of the current state of the Compliance Assessment in order to promote accreditation in the country.
Objectives
- Obtain information for the development of programs or initiatives for the promotion and dissemination of the Quality Infrastructure.
- Have information to establish a baseline of the bodies universe of conformity assessment existing, whether accredited or not.
- Release statistical information of the inspection bodies, test laboratories, calibration laboratories and certification bodies existing in the country on the capacity of conformity assessment, which they count on, as well as the magnitudes, fields and sectors to which these capacities are aimed.
- Obtain information on the needs and limitations that the conformity assessment bodies, which allows the actions, programs, projects or public policies aimed at promoting accreditation in Peru.
Execution Period
The Census will run at national level between the months of October and December 2019.
