Second Survey Targeted to the Venezuelan Population that Reside in the Country II ENPOVE 2022

Is a statistical research that allows providing statistical information that reflects the migratory situation of the refugee and migrant Venezuelan population in Peru, with emphasis within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to support in the public policy-making based in solid and reliable data.
 
The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) with the support of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and World Bank (WB) was performed between the months of November and December of 2018 the First Survey Targeted to the Venezuelan Population that Reside in Peru (ENPOVE 2018), which was executed in the capital cities of the departments of Tumbes, La Libertad, Arequipa, Cusco, Lima and Constitutional Province of Callao.
 
During 2019 and 2020, the situation of the Venezuelan population in Peru has changed against the reality of the year 2018, due among others, to changes in the migratory regulation, as well as global phenomena. For which it is necessary to have a second study that provide updated information of the Venezuelan population in Peru, in order to support in the public policy-making based in solid and reliable data.
 
In this sense, the second ENPOVE will perform in the urban area of the capitals of the departments that concentrate the highest number of households with Venezuelan population, Tumbes, Piura, Chiclayo, Trujillo, Chimbote, Ica, Arequipa, Lima Metropolitan area and Callao. This survey will be executed during the months of February and March of 2022, in order to have updated information that reflects the migratory situation of the Venezuelan people in Peru.

Objectives 
1. To provide information about the demographic, social, economic characteristics, vulnerability and needs of protection of the refugee and migrant Venezuelan population in Peru, with emphasis within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic.
2. To analyze the trends and characteristics of the Venezuelan population residing in Peru, with disaggregated data due to the demographic, social and economic characteristics.
3. To serve of source of information to public, private institutions and organisms of international cooperation for policy-making about the humanitarian assistance, integration and protection of Venezuelan population in Peru.

Interview Method 
Direct interview will be used, through a dialogue between the interviewer and the informer. The personnel will be duly trained for this purpose and will visit the households during the data collection, using the mobile device for data collection.

Data Collection Tool
The collection of data of the Second Survey Targeted to the Venezuelan Population that Reside in the Country, it will be performed through a mobile device: “Tablet”. For this reason, it will be an application of the physical questionnaire, which has all the variables to investigate.
