The Code of Good Statistical Practice of Peru was approved by Supreme Decree No. 072-2012-PCM, published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on 6 July 2012. It stipulates, inter alia, that the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) shall carry out the necessary actions to promote the adoption of the Code by public sector bodies at the three levels of government and evaluate progress on its implementation.
