Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn received in farewell audience Ambassador of Peru in Thailand

Yesterday, Friday, April 22, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, sister of King Rama X of Thailand, received in audience the Ambassador of Peru, Fernando Quirós, to bid farewell as he is about to conclude his diplomatic functions. The audience took place at the Sa Pathum Palace, in the city of Bangkok. 
 
The Peruvian Ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ximena Ríos, who was part of the diplomatic committee supporting the Thai Red Cross Society for the last five years and chaired it in 2020/2021. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is Executive Vice President of the Thai Red Cross Society and the Royal Family supports the humanitarian work of the said entity.
 
During the audience, the Ambassador of Peru expressed his gratitude for the hospitality received in Thailand during the five years of his diplomatic tenure. They also recalled the trip to Peru of Princess Sirindhorn in 2019, occasion in which she visited Lima, Puno and Cusco and later published beautiful photographs about the trip.
 
In addition to highlighting the extensive relations between the two countries in many fields, they also talked about the many similarities between the two peoples and cultures. The Princess Sirindhorn expressed her desire to, one day, return to Peru to visit the Nazca Lines and Manu National Park, among other Peruvian wonders.
