First Film Festival of the Pacific Alliance in Thailand — Screening of the Peruvian film "Viaje a Tombuctú"

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Pacific Alliance, the embassies of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, organized the “First film festival of the Pacific Alliance in Thailand”, on 20 and 21 November, at the prestigious Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC).
The festival’s program featured four movies, one from each country, including "Viaje a Tombuctú", the opera prima of Peruvian director Rossana Díaz Costa which was screened on Sunday 21st. The ambassador of Peru made a short presentation of the Peruvian film, the director’s career and highlighted the historical context of this film in the challenging ’80s. A short video about the Pacific Alliance was also shown before the film.
The film festival has been received with enthusiasm and satisfaction by the Thai public as well as by local specialists.
