Peruvian Ambassador held working meeting with Permanent Secretary of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ambassador of Peru to Thailand, Fernando Quiros, held yesterday a very productive working meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Ambassador Thani Thongphakdi, on the most important issues of the bilateral agenda.

The meeting, held in virtual format, was a follow-up to the meeting held last September 22, in New York, between the foreign ministers of both countries and confirmed the very good level of the relationship between the two countries; highlighting the diversified bilateral cooperation and the important coinciding venues to expand trade and investment: the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Pacific Alliance (PA), the Latin America - East Asia Cooperation Forum (FOCALAE), among others.

The Permanent Secretary and the Ambassador of Peru stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen their respective policies on issues of common interest in these times of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and in the run-up to Thailand's assumption of the APEC 2022 Chairmanship.
