The seminar was attended by the ambassadors of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru, and the Chargé d'affaires a.i. of Argentina. The opening remarks were made by the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Pornpimol Kanchanalak, with the participation of the Director-General and officers of the Ministry's Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, local authorities, and over 200 entrepreneurs and representatives from the main Thai private sector associations.

The ambassador of Peru highlighted in his presentation Peru's macroeconomic fundamentals; its natural resource endowment; its excellent business and investment climate; the prospects for economic recovery in the post-pandemic phase; and investment projects that may be of interest to Thai entrepreneurs.

In addition, through a pre-recorded video, the Trade Commissioner of Peru for Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, Erick Aponte, referred to Peru's interest in strengthening trade with Southeast Asia and the wide range of export products being promoted in the Thai market through media and supermarket campaigns and business-to-business meetings.

In turn, also through a pre-recorded video, the Manager of Corporate Affairs of the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (COMEXPeru), Luciano Paredes, noted the Peruvian private sector's willingness to work together with Thai counterparts to boost economic and trade relations, both bilaterally and within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
