The 54th edition of the Red Cross Diplomatic Bazaar took place on Saturday 27, Sunday 28 and Monday 29 March at the Siam Paragon shopping center in Bangkok. Fifty-one countries participated through their embassies accredited in Thailand and more than eight thousand people attended the event, respecting health protocols and the mandatory social distancing.

This traditional bazaar is held annually to raise funds for the humanitarian purposes of the Red Cross, mainly medical care for disadvantaged populations.

At the inauguration, the Ambassador of Peru and the other participating heads of diplomatic missions presented Her Royal Highness, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, sister of King Rama X of Thailand, and Executive Vice President of the Thai Red Cross, with a basket of Peruvian products (quinoa, coffee, chia) and handicrafts.

This year the Diplomatic Committee supporting the 54th Bazaar is chaired by the wife of the Ambassador of Peru, Mrs. Ximena Rios, who accompanied Princess Sirindhorn to visit the stands to learn about the products of each country. While passing by the two Peruvian stands, one with handicrafts and the other with "SuperFoods" (red globe grapes, quinoa and chia), she was received by the Ambassador of Peru and made pleasant remarks about her last trip to Peru (Lima, Cusco and Puno) in 2019.
