The digital event “From Conquest to Colony: The Early Colonial Period in Peru”, organized by the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology, Harvard University, will take place on 4 February.

It is a pleasure to inform you that on 4 February 2021, at 6.00 p.m. (Peru time), with the support of the Consulate-General of Peru in Boston, the virtual event “From Conquest to Colony: The Early Colonial Period in Peru”, organized by the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University, will take place.

The event will be presented by the distinguished archeologist Jeffrey Quilter, who will discuss findings of the first archaeological and historical study of the colonial Peruvian town Magdalena de Cao, documented in his new book, Magdalena de Cao An Early Colonial Town on the North Coast of Peru (Peabody Museum Press, 2021).
