Peru inaugurated "Super Foods" Pavilion in THAIFEX 2018 Fair

Peru inaugurated a dedicated Pavilion "Super Foods" this afternoon in the framework of the Foods and Beverages Fair “THAIFEX 2018”, the most important fair in Southeast Asia, which takes place from May 29 to June 2, 2018 at Impact Exhibition and Convention Center of Bangkok, Thailand.
THAIFEX 2018 Fair was also inaugurated earlier today by the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Somkid Jatusripitak, and by the Minister of Commerce, Sontirat Sontijirawong.
This year, THAIFEX has 2,000 exhibiting companies, 2,100 registered buyers (from all over Asia) and it is estimated that would receive about 60,000 visitors.
After the official opening of THAIFEX 2018, Thai Deputy Prime Minister visited the pavilions of three countries, including Peru. The organizers emphasized that this deference was due to the fact that our Super Foods campaign fully coincides with the central message of THAIFEX 2018, to promote natural, healthy and nutritious foods.
The Pavilion of Peru has 7 Peruvian companies (Tierra Orgánica, Saproind, Peruvian Nature, Natural Health Foods, Interamsa, Agritrade and AJE-THAI) that offer Andean grains (Quinoa, Maca, Chia, Canihua, etc), fruits (Lucuma, blueberries, nuts), organic cocoa, natural supplements (Sacha Inchi, Maca, Cat's Claw, etc.), non-alcoholic beverages, etc.
During the inauguration of “Peru” Pavilion, the participants could taste some samples of our renowned gastronomy such as quinoa salad, Potato with Huancaína Sauce, Peruvian Beef Steak with Avocado Sauce, Caramel Cookies and Chicha Morada, prepared by the Peruvian Chef Natalia Gonzales.
