On July 28, 2018, the Peruvian community residing in Thailand gathered to celebrate the 197th anniversary of National Independence. The meeting, convened by the embassy, was held at the Siam Paragon in Bangkok, in the space where the photographic exhibition "Machu Picchu" has been taking place.
Peruvians and friends of Peru enjoyed live Peruvian music performed by the group APU INKA, and tasted Peruvian snacks and sweets as well as the famous "chicha morada". There were also dances from the three regions of Peru. The photographic exhibition was open to the public from July 26 to 29 on the second floor of the Siam Paragon Shopping Mall, Bangkok.
