Chef of the Embassy of Peru carried out Peruvian Gastronomy Workshop in university in Thailand

Attending a special invitation by Chulalongkorn University, one of the most important universities in Thailand, Miss Ana Rosa Castañeda Chávez, chef of the Embassy of Peru, led a two-and-a-half-hour workshop class on Peruvian gastronomy on Thursday, February 20. The activity, aimed at a group of senior students,  was carried out within the university's "Gastronomy and History of Latin America" program.

Miss Castañeda, who graduated two years ago in cooking from the culinary institute of the "Pachacútec Foundation" in Ventanilla, Callao, made a general presentation about Peruvian gastronomy and emblematic Peruvian culinary products, then prepared some typical dishes like Ceviche, Causa, Alfajores and the Chicha Morada drink for the students.

This cultural and gastronomic promotion activity was carried out within the framework of the permanent institutional collaboration between Chulalongkorn University and the Embassy of Peru. The coordinators thanked especially Miss Casteñada and proposed to carry out similar activities on a regular basis in the interest of both parties.
