Peruvian and Thai health authorities held videoconference meeting on shrimp trade

The National Fisheries Health Organization of Peru (SANIPES) and the Department of Fisheries of Thailand (DOF) held a meeting via videoconference on Friday, 19 June, to exchange information on food safety certification procedures for whole frozen raw shrimp and frozen raw shrimp tails of the species litopenaeus vannamei.
The meeting also allowed for renewed inter-institutional and interpersonal contacts between those responsible for international matters and technical surveillance teams from both countries.
Additionally, this meeting shows the interest of Peru and Thailand to continue strengthening their economic and commercial links despite the global COVID-19 pandemic that continues to severely affect world-wide commerce.
