Ambassador of Peru visited Space Agency's (GISTDA) Innovation Park

Invited by the Geo-Informatic and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), Wednesday, 21 October, the Ambassador of Peru visited the operations and technological innovation park and museum known as "Space Inspirium", located in Chon Buri province (83 kilometers south of Bangkok). The Ambassador was received by the Director of Satellite Operation Office, Mr. Boonchoob Boongthong, and Mr. Disapat Sawadisukhitkul of the International Relations Division of GISTDA.

The visit included a tour through the monitoring and remote control center of the Thaichote satellite or Theos-1, the facilities under construction for the assembly of the Theos-2 satellite, which will be launched into space in 2021/2022, the earth segment innovation laboratories, the images and data processing center, and the assembly training center of nanosatellites that the park has.

Peru and Thailand have been cooperating in the field of space activities for more than 10 years and the cooperation has been reinforced by the fact that both countries have satellites with similar technology.
