BBC News has recently published its "BBC's 100 women of 2020" list:
Find Peruvian archaeologist Ruth Shady as of the most inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2020, along with Sanna Marin, who leads Finland's all-female coalition government, Sarah Gilbert, who heads the Oxford University research into a coronavirus vaccine, as well as Jane Fonda, a climate activist and actress, among others.
BBC has included a summary of Dr Shady´s carreer, hightlighting: "Ruth Shady has a doctorate in archaeology and anthropology and is vice-dean of research at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of San Marcos. She is director of multidisciplinary research at the Caral archaeological site, considered to be the oldest civilisation in the Americas.
She has honorary doctorates from five Peruvian universities and in 2018 won the L'Oréal-Unesco national prize for women in science. She was also awarded a Medal of Honour of the Congress of the Republic of Peru."
