Peru participated in the 127th virtual Session of the Coffee Council and associated meetings, from 2 to 11 September. #Internationalcoffeeorganization
This year, the International Coffee Organization (ICO) presented the developments of the recently created Public-Private Coffee Task Force, in which both sectors are working to suggest concrete actions to face the current crisis of low coffee prices, as well as the impact of COVID- 19 in the coffee sector.
As demonstration of its increased commitment to the important work of the ICO, Peru will join two technical committees for the 2020-2021 term: The Projects Committee and the Promotion and Development of the Coffee Market Committee.
Finally, it was announced that the 128th Session of the Coffee Council will take place in October, which will be an opportunity to commemorate the International Coffee Day (1st October).
