Following the celebration of Peruvian Artisan Day, which is commemorated every March 19th, this Embassy is happy to share the link to the Ruraq Maki “Hand Made” virtual stores

The Ruraq Maki project, endorsed by the Ministry of Culture of Peru, promotes the registration, research, and dissemination of traditional Peruvian folk art from all regions of Peru. Ruraq Maki's virtual stores allow the direct acquisition of high-quality Peruvian folk-art products, which can then be shipped internationally. In addition, this sales platform means, in the current situation, concrete and urgent support for the economic recovery of one of the cultural industries most affected by the COVID19 pandemic.

As a complement, you can also view this explanatory document of the project, as well as data on the benefits that the project has generated in favor of artisans, helping them to publicize their work, their art and their products.
