Ambassador of Peru to Canada is awarded with a fellowship from the Peruvian Canadian Institute

We are glad to inform you that Ambassador of Peru in Canada, Roberto Rodríguez Arnillas, has been awarded with a special fellowship granted by the recently created "Peruvian Canadian Institute", an institution promoted by the University of Huntington (Sudbury, Province of Ontario, Canada).

The President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Huntington, Dr. Kevin McCormick, Founding President of the Institute, and Mr. Marc Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt, President of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas and President of the Advisory Council of the aforementioned Institute, presented the aforementioned award to Ambassador Rodriguez Arnillas, in recognition to his outstanding contribution and leadership in promoting bilateral relations between Peru and Canada.

The Canadian Minister of International Development of Canada, Karina Gould, participated as a special guest in the virtual ceremony of presentation of the fellowship, expressing her greetings to Ambassador Rodríguez Arnillas, on behalf of the Canadian government, as well as congratulating Peru on the occasion of commemorating 200 years of independence in 2021, conveying her best wishes for the continuous strengthening of friendship ties between both countries.

The aforementioned fellowship inaugurates a Special Program Distinguished Felowships promoted by the Institute, which will seek to acknowledge the work of those Peruvian and Canadian citizens who have had a special role in the strengthening of relations between Peru and Canada.

The Peruvian-Canadian Institute has been preparing a series of important activities to be carried out this year, aimed at promoting the economic-commercial, cultural, academic, development cooperation and education areas of the bilateral relationship, which will also be organized in the context of the special commemorations for the Bicentennial of our country, and that will have an strong support of the Embassy of Peru in Canada.
