Construction of the Tarata Vehicular Bridge

The Tarata Vehicular Bridge is an important road connection project. This will be located in the district of Juanjuí, province of Mariscal Cáceres, department of San Martín, at kilometer 807+400, right side of the Marginal Highway (Fernando Belaunde Terry). It will be 510 meters long and will have a double lane.

The bridge will link the districts of Juanjuí and Pajarillo, and will have a main axis that will connect the Fernando Belaunde Terry highway with the road that goes to the Cuñumbuza valley area. It will benefit more than 32,000 inhabitants of the districts of Juanjuí, Pajarillo and annexes.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications will be in charge of the execution, through its executing unit, Provías Descentralizado. A cooperation agreement was also signed with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which will be responsible for carrying out the procedures for selecting the executor and supervisor of this work. The investment amount of the work is S/ 347,995,748.06, and of the supervision S/ 18,233,605.79.
