Apply for a business visa to enter Peru
If you are a foreign national who wishes to conduct business in Peru, you must apply for a business visa at the Peruvian consular offices in the country where you are located. You must complete this procedure 15 calendar days before your trip.
If your country of origin has an agreement with the Peruvian State that allows you to enter the country without restrictions, you will not need to carry out this procedure; however, you must keep in mind that this document is mandatory for anyone who will sign a contract in Peruvian territory.
The visa does not allow you to carry out lucrative or remunerated activities in Peruvian territory or receive income from Peruvian sources, except in the case of fees as a director of companies domiciled in Peru or fees as a speaker or international consultant for a service contract that does not exceed 30 continuous or accumulated days within a 12-month period.
Keep in mind that submitting the visa application and the required documentation does not guarantee the automatic granting of the visa. Each application is individually evaluated by the Peruvian consul. Additionally, during the process, additional requirements may be requested.
The maximum period of stay with the business visa is up to 183 calendar days without the possibility of extension, either in one continuous visit or in several consecutive visits within a 12-month period from the date of visa issuance. If you fail to comply with this, you will be fined according to migration regulations.
