Apply for a business visa to enter Peru
If you are a foreign national who wishes to conduct business in Peru, you must apply for a business visa at the Peruvian consular offices in the country where you are located. You must complete this procedure 15 calendar days before your trip.
If your country of origin has an agreement with the Peruvian State that allows you to enter the country without restrictions, you will not need to carry out this procedure; however, you must keep in mind that this document is mandatory for anyone who will sign a contract in Peruvian territory.
The visa does not allow you to carry out lucrative or remunerated activities in Peruvian territory or receive income from Peruvian sources, except in the case of fees as a director of companies domiciled in Peru or fees as a speaker or international consultant for a service contract that does not exceed 30 continuous or accumulated days within a 12-month period.
Keep in mind that submitting the visa application and the required documentation does not guarantee the automatic granting of the visa. Each application is individually evaluated by the Peruvian consul. Additionally, during the process, additional requirements may be requested.
The maximum period of stay with the business visa is up to 183 calendar days without the possibility of extension, either in one continuous visit or in several consecutive visits within a 12-month period from the date of visa issuance. If you fail to comply with this, you will be fined according to migration regulations.
Requirements
- Complete the visa application form (Form DGC 005), provided by the Peruvian Consulate.
- Present a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity upon entering Peru.
- Provide a round-trip ticket to and from Peru (ticket, electronic ticket, or reservation).
- Submit a letter from your company stating the purpose and duration of the visit, as well as confirmation that you have sufficient financial means to cover all expenses during your stay in Peru.
- If your trip involves a specific Peruvian counterpart, submit a letter from the Peruvian company indicating the purpose and duration of the visit, and confirming financial support for your expenses.
- Provide 2 recent passport-size color photographs.

Follow these 4 steps:
1. Schedule your appointment
Email seccionconsular@embassyofperu.ca, attaching the required documents, to coordinate the date and time of your interview.
2. Attend your interview
Arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time at 130 Albert Street, Suite 202, Ottawa, Ontario, K1P 5G4.
Bring the documents listed in the Requirements section. Upon arrival, identify yourself with your ID and mention the procedure you will carry out.
3. Pay the consular fee
At the end of the interview, pay S/ 30.00 consular soles (equivalent to CAD$ 45.00, according to the current fee schedule). Payment must be made in cash.
4. Receive your document
If your visa is approved, the consular officer will contact you to coordinate the date and time to pick up your passport with the visa.
