What we do?

We execute the foreign policy, promoting and defending the interests of the Peruvian State, as well as those of national natural and legal persons.

The Embassies are in charge of representing the Peruvian State before the receiving State, protecting the interests of Peru and those of its nationals in accordance with international law, as well as promoting friendly relations and developing economic, cultural and scientific relations.

Their functions also include negotiating with the government of the State to which they are accredited, in accordance with the instructions given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and obtaining, evaluating and reporting on the political, economic-financial, commercial, cultural, tourism and diplomatic affairs of the receiving State.

They must also carry out economic, commercial, cultural and tourism promotion activities, exercise consular functions when there is no consular office in the city where it is located, and perform other functions entrusted to them.
