2025 National Censuses: INEI invites the citizens to complete the in-line Census to reach the 100% of national coverage

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) announced the closure of the field work of the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VIII of Housing and IV of Indigenous Communities, and invited the citizens that had not yet had been census registered to complete the in-line- Census, a modern, safe and accessible modality, that allow to fulfill with this civic duty in a fast way, from any place, entering to www.censos2025.com.pe

The chief of the INEI, Gaspar Morán Flores, stressed that during the last three months “Peru has counted itself, with the goal of reach each household, housing and community to construct together the new radiography of the country we area and that of we want to be”.

Morán stressed that this great national effort represents the best expression of the team work between the State and the citizens.

Likewise, he thanks the commitment of the Peruvian families that received the census officers and answered with responsibility to each question of the questionnaire.

“Thanks to you, today the country counts with valuable, precise and reliable information, that Will serve as base to design fairer and more effective public policies”, he stated.

The chief of the INEI also recognized the commitment of the more than 30 thousand census officers that traveled across the country in challenging conditions, demonstrating its service vocation and commitment with the national development.

“Their labour, under the sun, the rain or the difficulties of the territory, symbolizes the commitment of a country that do not left nobody behind”, he outstood.

Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to the Executive Branch authorities, regional and local governments, as well as the allies of the public and private sector, that offer institutional, logistic, and communicational support, during all the census process.

Morán informed that at the closure of the field operation, the census officers knock the door of the 97% of the households of the country and he also stated that now it starts the phase of census recovery, targeted at achieving the 100% of coverage. This stage will allow to visit households which members were absent, areas with controversies of territorial demarcation and new buildings not included in the first stage.

“We must offer the opportunity to census registered to those persons that were absent when our census officer visited them”, he emphasized.

In this sense, he reaffirmed the invitation to complete the in-line census, tool that makes easy the participation of those that had not yet been census registered.

“Each person counts and each data matters. Census registration is an act of citizen responsibility. Do not let others decide for us: we must participate and we must do it right”, encouraged Morán Flores.

Finally, the chief of the INEI stressed that the chief of the INEI stressed that the 2025 National Censuses are “a technological milestone and an act of national confidence” that will allow the country to have updated and essential information to plan its future.
