Description
Is a continuous statistical activity, that allows providing monthly statistical information of labor market monitoring through unemployment and employment indicators and other referents to the availability and use of human resources at national level and main cities.
Permanent Survey of National Employment – EPEN 2026, started operation field in March 29 of 2021. The workload assigned to an interviewer in urban area and the rest of urban area fabric is of 4 households and in rural area is of 8 households; in each household information is collected interviewing directly to the usual residents aged 14 years old or older.
Objectives
- Provide in short term indicators of the labor market dynamic and conjunctural information at national level and in 28 researched cities.
- Obtaining continuous statistics of characteristics of employment, unemployment and average incomes of the population in working age.
- Serve as a source of information for public policy-maker for decision-making.
- To allow the comparability with similar researches regarding the variables researched.
Method of data collection
The collection of information through DIRECT INTERVIEWS, performed by staff properly trained for that end; who visit the selected households to fill in the questionnaires of the survey in mobile devices (digital pad).
