Sector services provided to companies registered an increase of 2.89% in February of 2024

During February of 2024, the sector services provided to companies increased in 2.89%, compared to the same month of the last year, explained by the growth of its four components: professional, scientific and technical activities, travel agencies and tour operators and advertising and market research; and activities of administrative and support services.

This sector grew 2.37% between January and February of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023.

 

Professional, scientific and technical activities increased in 2.14%, attributed to the good performance of the architecture and engineering activities; due to the assigned projects of engineering and construction; increase of mining activities, studies and execution of electromagnetics projects and high and medium voltage sub-stations, valuations of works and public tenders. 

 

The different essays and technical analysis performed registered a positive trend due to the quantity of samples received and processed at national level.

 

Likewise, management consultancy activities grew due to the greater comprehensive advice, management consultancy, strategic solutions, optimization of processes, technology consulting and artificial intelligence.

Likewise, the activities of accounting increased due to the counselling in accounting, tax, labor, audits and accounting outsourcing matters. In parallel, legal activities increased due to the provision of legal services, progress of court proceedings, customer loyalty and attendance of people to notaries.

 

Travel agencies and tour operators registered an increase of 51.29%, due to the sale of travel packages, domestic and international air tickets, transportation and hotel reservations, incentive and rewards trips, promotions and offers of packages all included, cruise line and intermediate services of travels, driven by holiday season, festive dates by carnivals and advanced purchase of Holy Week.

 

In addition, tour operators registered greater activity due to visits to historic centers, city tours and trips, accompanied to variety of programs and offers about experimental tourism, gastronomic, religious and eco-tourisms in the Amazon Forest.

 

Advertising and market research expanded in 6.09%, due to the good performance of advertising sector, due to summer campaigns and school season, advertising of events, introduction of new members to the market, outer panels in pathways and shopping centers, interactive marketing and of influencer, advertising through audiovisual animation for commercial spots in television and Internet. 

Likewise, the was a greater activity of market research by marketing studies, marketing analysis, audience measurement, surveys and local market and regional researches bout politic, social and economic subjects.

Activities of administrative and support services slightly grew in 0.79%, due to rental and operational leasing of other types of machinery related to engineering, mining and construction projects; car rental and operational leasing of automotive vehicles, due to the demand of car rental, trucks and buses used for business purposes.

 

General cleaning of buildings increased due to services in offices, shopping centers and residential buildings. The activities of security and researches increased due to more guard posts, transfer of assets, patrol services, security of events and shows. 

 

At the same time, the activities of telephone exchanges increased due to telemarketing campaigns, customer service and delinquent collection.
